COVID 19 Updates

August 17-L.T. Westlake Re-Entry Handbook

Here is our re-entry handbook. This handbook outlines parameters that we plan on following this upcoming school year. This is a working document and most likely it will change throughout the school year.

July 21 Message from Horizon School Division Office

For those of you that were not listening to today’s COVID update, I’m pleased to share that Premier Kenny and Minister LaGrange announced that Alberta will return to near normal operations with health measures at the beginning of the new school year, which is scenario one of the re-entry plan (all students at school, everyday).

Today’s communication has provided clarity and will allow us to proceed with plans for scenario 1. Plans that focus on student learning while maintaining a focus on student and staff safety.

I am asking for cooperation of staff and families as we implement our plan and encourage parents and staff to
• review our re-entry plan (www.horizon.ab.ca)
• review the parent guide back to school facts, and videos at (https://www.alberta.ca/k-to-12-school-re-entry-2020-21-scho…) and talk to your children about what back to school will look like

In closing, I want to thank everyone for doing their part to keep each other safe when we start the new school year.
