Hi! My name is Rose Gerlock.I am in my 39th year of teaching at L. T. Westlake Fine Arts School. I was born in Coaldale and lived there for my first 12 years. I went to R. I. Baker School which was a 1-12 school. My grade one teacher was Jennie Emery. The elementary school in Coaldale is named after her. She is the reason I am now a teacher.
I then moved in to Lethbridge, receiving my education at Hamilton Junior High and L.C.I. My life has been a narrow road with no forks in it. I then went on to the U. Of L. to receive my Bachelor of Education degree and here I am today.
I am married to Tony with 2 children, Nikki and Erik and a dog. I have two grandsons with a third one on its way in early December. My friends are dear to me so I like to spend time with them. I love to shop and I love my shoes. I'm into fitness so I'm at the gym often and during the summer I'm on the golf course.
Teaching is a very special part of me. I have made many friends and acquaintances throughout my teaching career. It is always nice to see former students and what they have accomplished. Some are now friends.
