School Resource Officer

Hello, my name is Christopher Nguyen and I am grateful for the opportunity of being the Taber Police Service's SRO.

I have been a Police Officer since June of 2000.  After graduating from the RCMP "Depot" Academy, I began my career with the Blood Tribe Police Service on Canada's largest First Nations Reserve.  In August of 2000, I was recruited to the Taber Police Service and my family and I moved to Taber to join the incredible Southern Alberta community.

The majority of my career has been spent in Patrols which has allowed me many opportunities to interact with and become involved in various youth organizations.  I am a firm proponent of empowering our youth through the teachings of functional life skills and the development of positive attributes.

As a youth, I was a student and graduate of the Holy Spirit School Division having attended St. Paul's, St. Basil's, St. Francis and Catholic Central High School in Lethbridge.

Lasting communities are built upon strong foundations where family structure, honesty, faith and respect are instilled in our future leaders with the support of our valued educators.

I am eager to support the education and development of our community's youth and look forward to building many lasting relationships.

Sincerely,

Christopher Nguyen
